recipe post :D


I just have to share this recipe with you! A friend of mine made it, and it was so DELICIOUS! Healthy and light, it really cleanses your palette :) I havent had a chance to make it yet, but the directions look rather easy :)! Hope you guys try and enjoy it! YUM!



Thai Yum Woonsen Talay

Ingredients - about four servings worth

1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced finely (or quartered is fine)
1/4 red onion, sliced finely
1 shallot, sliced finely
1/2 green pepper (capsicum)
1/2 red pepper (capsicum)
1/2 yellow peppers (capsicum)
1 cup prawn, shelled and deveined
1 cup scallops
1 cup squid or calamari, cut into rings
2 packs of mung bean or green bean vermicelli

Dressing
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup chopped coriander or cilantro
2 stalks of green onion or ramp, cut finely
2 thai bird chilies or 3 jalepeno peppers (adjust for your preferred spice level)
1 lime, juiced
3 tbsp sugar

4 tbsp fish sauce


Directions

1. Soak the mung bean noodle in cold water to soften them up for about 20-30 minutes before you are ready to cook. Boil them, and be careful not to overcook. Remove from water and drain when ready, blanching in cold water to stop the noodles from overcooking.
2. Cook the seafood in batches, and be sure not to overdo them as the seafood tends to become rubbery when overcooked. A general hint is when they lose their translucency and become white (for the scallops and the calamari) and when they turn pink (for the prawn). Set aside.
3. In separate bowl, mix together the ingredients for the dressing, to taste. It should not be overly salty, sweet, sour, or spicy but a good blend of the four.
4. Combine everything gently together in a bowl.
5. Garnish with some more cilantro or mint and a slice of lime.

Revlon Color Stay Pen Liner + NYX

Okay, maybe i'm just being a super noob, but it isnt as nice as i would have expected from reviews from other bloggers!

Trying it out on my hand, the colour is fairly dark, but when i used it on my eyelids it didn't deliver a true black line. Maybe I didn't wait for it to dry up, but i went over it a couple of times and it still didn't produce a nice line as MAC's blacktrack or even blitz&glitz fluid line !

It was very disappointing to say the least, the concept was cute and it wasnt as expensive as buying something a little higher end :(!

Maybe it will work for you, but it sure didn't work for me. I know mac has something similar, not in a pen shape though i will look into..or maybe i'll just try their black technakhol liner!

The NYX lipsticks on the other hand were surprisingly nice. I do agree with most reviews that the regular round lipsticks does have a funky taste/smell..like a hair conditioner which is slightly off putting but not horrible. The Black Daimond lipstick has no smell or taste i could detect, both had pretty good application. Didn't crease with my lips but I had it prepped with lip blam!
And the giant eyeshadow stick is nice :D I'm happy with it, cottage cheese haha :)

mini drugstore haul!

ahh im waiting till school ends to really treat myself (meaning in one week i can finally buy MAC's MSF in dainty :D!!!)

been hearing good things about NYX's lipsticks, so i got 2
one is the regular round lipstick in narcissus (3$)

and NYX daimond sparkle in sparkling rose, which is 6$


Also their giant eye pencils in cottage cheese, since ive been reading they've compared it to mac's shadesticks..and hey if its only 3.99 im up for saving 17$ :D!!
